What is the St. Lawrence Brotherhood?

Every generation needs men to step into their calling to humbly and courageously speak and do what is True. The St. Lawrence Brotherhood calls “common” men to a shared rule of life that embraces formation of virtue through singing and praying the Truth and engaging in courageous mission together. We follow our patron, St. Lawrence, who exemplified a courageous spirit of joyful and even comedic humility, treating what is holy with utmost respect, yet finding comedy in unexpected grace within a broken world.

The St. Lawrence Brotherhood presently meet in three ways:

  1. Quarterly Meeting. Ember-Day Zoom Call or In-Person (50/50). For all MiemBros and Nuevos. Usually Ember Thursdays at 6pm CST

    • The Agenda is always the same: 

      1. Praying/Chanting the Office

      2. Sharing jokes or humorous stories

      3. Sharing from the heart about growth-edges in keeping the Rule.

      4. Staying connected to the brothers who aren't on the Signal Group

      5. A chance for Nuevos to meet the other MiemBros

      6. A chance for Nuevos who have been keeping the rule for at least two quarters to profess the Rule and join the brotherhood officially

  2. Signal Group. The MiemBro who invited you can add you to this group.

  3. Quarterly Missions or Retreats. Focused on building virtue, especially humility and fortitude.
